Privacy Notice
How Clean Flow Plumbing Services collects, uses, and protects your personal information.
Introduction
Clean Flow Plumbing Services Pty Ltd ("Clean Flow", "we", "us") respects your privacy. This notice explains what personal information we collect when you use our website, create an account, submit an enquiry, or book a plumbing job, and how we handle that information.
Information we collect
We may collect the following types of personal information:
- Contact details such as your name, email address, and phone number
- Account credentials when you register (stored as a secure password hash)
- Property or service location details provided for bookings and job updates
- Enquiry and job-related messages you send to us
- Technical information such as browser type and IP address when you visit our site
How we use your information
We use personal information to:
- Respond to enquiries and provide plumbing services
- Manage your account and communicate about active jobs
- Send you emails about your enquiry and job, such as your reference number, status updates and replies from our team
- Improve our website and customer support
- Meet legal and regulatory obligations where applicable
Who can see your information
Our office staff can see the details you give us so they can review your enquiry and book your job. When a plumber is assigned to your job, they can see your name, phone number, service address and the problem you described, so they can contact you and do the work. Plumbers cannot see your email address or your account details.
Third-party services
Our login, registration and enquiry forms use Google reCAPTCHA to block spam and automated attacks. When you submit one of these forms, Google receives your IP address and the reCAPTCHA response so it can check that you are a person. Google handles this information under its own Privacy Policy. We send emails about your enquiry and account through our email provider. We do not sell your personal information or share it for marketing.
Storage and security
We take reasonable steps to protect personal information from misuse, loss, and unauthorised access. Access is limited to staff who need the information to perform their work. Passwords are stored as one-way hashes, accounts are locked after repeated failed logins, and we keep a security log of sign-in attempts and admin changes (including IP addresses) to detect misuse.
How long we keep your information
- Your account is kept until you ask us to delete it.
- Enquiry, quote and job records are kept for 7 years to meet Australian tax record-keeping requirements, then deleted or de-identified.
- Security log entries are kept for a limited time, and older entries are removed automatically.
Your rights
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of the personal information we hold about you. Registered customers can update many details through the profile page. If you ask us to delete your account, we delete your login details and detach your past enquiries from it; records we must keep by law are kept until the period above ends. For other requests, please contact us using the details below.
If you are not happy with how we handled your information, please contact us first. You can also complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at www.oaic.gov.au. If a data breach is likely to cause you serious harm, we will tell you and the OAIC as required by the Notifiable Data Breaches scheme.
